Giving Gift Tags

The Potsdam Holiday Fund is grateful to local businesses who support our 'Giving Gift Tags and help collect gifts around the holiday season; putting smiles on the faces of children located within the Township of Potsdam on Christmas morning. 

The Potsdam Holiday Fund serves families with children from pre-birth to age 17.

Participation in the Giving Gift Tag program is a fun holiday activity for families and their children, who can learn important sharing lessons while also helping to choose gifts that are popular with children their own age.  If you would like to help, please:

• Pick up a giving gift tag from one of the participating businesses (list below)

• Pick a tag(s) for the child age group (tags are gender neutral) (image below)

• Purchase a gift(s) 

• Return the gift(s) UNWRAPPED with a tag to one of the participating businesses (listed below).

• Gift Collection deadline: December 18, 2025

Generally, there are plenty of gifts donated for toddlers, but not too many gifts are donated for the older children in the program. Based on past years, program volunteers offer the following suggestions for gifts for older children (ages 13-17):

• PJs (tops and bottoms)  Youth size 10 - 16, All adult sizes

• Electronics (headphones, speakers,  power banks,  charging cables/blocks, etc.)

• Sporting  goods (balls, bats, gloves, nets, rackets, etc.) 

• Outdoor Activities (skateboards, sleds, snowshoes,  fishing, camping, water bottles, etc.)

• Puzzles, Board Games, Legos, Card Games

• Hygiene Items (shaving kits, bath/body wash sets, hair accessories, nail polish, makeup & makeup organizers, etc.)

• Crafts (adult coloring books, model car kits, rocket kits, jewelry/bracelet-making kits, etc.)

• Gift Cards (local movie theatres, fast food chains, Walmart, etc.)
